Here's the last episode with novelist Paul Malmont. Do you like? Do you not like? Tell me...

Okay, it's not like you needed to ask, but SINCE you asked

Right out of the gate:
This is a good title. This one above this comment to this post. The one with a good title. Yeah. Fuck, yeah. The other titles to the interview with Paul Malmont series (Five Easy Questions, Paul Malmont, Part 1-4) left very little to the imagination.
As far as the interview goes, the talking was solid. I'd spend less time on the interviewed's face. You could almost get Ken Burnsey with it and still be alright. I suggest this only because. . . well, since you're doing video, you might as well go for broke and make it as visually arresting as possible. . . otherwise, what's the point of using that medium?
Same goes for the spoken word performances. The den's got a nice homey feel, sure. But I'll bet you walk by some great spots every day. Let the camera do some wandering. If you don't have someone to man it. . . well, you need to take a good look at who your friends are.
Are you drinking too much? Are you drinking enough?
Live footage. . . with an audience. That would be cool. Any of your buddies play an instrument?
I don't feel like opening another window, right now, so I'll just go ahead and ask "Are you a member of any communities, here?" and assume the answer is "no."
LJ Communities are a great way to increase your readership. I hate putting it like that, but at the end of the day, it matters to you. It matters to me, too. I haven't had such great luck with it, but I'm not exactly putting my balls out, just yet. Still, with a little tact and patience, you can friend more people and get a serious readership. I mean a serious readership. Folks that will follow your other shit, as well. Do an interest search or two and then join a few. Watch them. Lurk.
Tags. Put those to work for you. I was overjoyed when they turned up. It makes ordering your site way easier. It also frees up the title.
All of this takes time.
I think your content here is. . . I don't know. . . I think that since you recycle links, anyway, you might as well throw a few of your stories and essays up and so on up. That'll make your journal seem a little less lean. That'll help with attracting readers, too. Plus, it'll make things a lot easier on me. . . I'm not--at present--a blogspotbloggityblogbabingbangbongtaglon
g.
Generally, I'd say, you'd do well to leave the tongue-in-cheek minimalmist gag behind and try to trick your shit out a little. I volunteer any information, code, or walkthroughs you might need with myspace or lj. . . you're on your own, elsewhere. In point of fact, I'd be willing to collaborate on anything you'd like to see done. I'll be your Johnny on the Spot.
And that's about it. You shouldn't feel obligated to reply to this, but it'd be cool if you threw some advice my way over on my side. I'd surely appreciate it.
Peace and love and child defenestration.
